Through initiatives such as IMM Student Dormitories, education support, social centers like Müze Gazhane, and free events, we are working full speed to improve the quality of life for Istanbul’s youth.
We Opened Student Dormitories
For the first time in IMM’s history, we opened student dormitories. In 14 dormitories (8 for women and 6 for men) located in prime areas of Istanbul, we provide affordable, safe housing with numerous social amenities.
Students staying in IMM dormitories benefit from facilities such as breakfast and dinner, study rooms, libraries, sports areas, pools, ironing rooms, and hobby kitchens. They can also access part-time job or internship opportunities and receive free support from the Psychosocial Support Unit when needed.
We Reached University Students with the Young University Student Support Program
To ensure better learning conditions for associate, master’s, and doctoral students in Istanbul, we launched the Young University Student Education Support Program. By evaluating the socio-economic status of students and their families, we have provided financial aid to over 300,000 students since 2019.
We Established New and Modern Libraries
We renovated existing libraries and opened new, modern ones across Istanbul. These libraries, equipped with IMM Wi-Fi, thousands of books, and spacious study areas, provide young people with spaces for research and study.
We Organized Free Concerts, Exhibitions, and Events
On national holidays such as Republic Day, Victory Day, and Youth and Sports Day, we hosted unforgettable events with visual shows, opening our doors to young people for free. Beyond special occasions, we organized numerous exhibitions, concerts, and events in cultural venues across Istanbul, bringing people of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds together.
We Opened Cultural Heritage Sites to Youth
We restored and repurposed cultural heritage sites such as Bulgur Palas, Müze Gazhane, ArtIstanbul Feshane, Taş Mektep, Çubuklu Silos, Istanbul Art, and Casa Botter. These spaces now serve as vibrant hubs where young people can enjoy libraries, free events, restaurants, and museums.
We Opened Youth Offices
Through IMM Youth Offices, we created spaces for young people aged 15–29 to access book cafés, participate in personal development and career courses, and attend training sessions. Located in Bağcılar, Fatih, Gaziosmanpaşa, Ümraniye, Maltepe, Büyük Istanbul Bus Terminal, Sarıyer, and Sarıyer Hisarüstü, these offices have reached tens of thousands of students through thousands of training sessions.
We Established the Istanbul City Council Youth Assembly
In June 2021, we launched the Istanbul City Council Youth Assembly, a platform to learn about the needs and challenges of young people in Istanbul and hear their solutions. This initiative allows young people aged 16–28 to have a voice in local governance and encourages democratic participation.
We Opened IMM Study Workshops
To address educational inequality during preparation for critical exams like LGS and YKS, we established IMM Study Workshops. Located in 15 locations, these workshops offer free courses in subjects such as Turkish, Mathematics, History, and English. Additionally, the Online Study Workshop provides question banks and review materials to help students reinforce their learning.
We Supported Game Developers at OGEM
Through the Game Development Center (OGEM), launched in 2021, we offer free resources and an Incubator Program for teams interested in game development. In addition to the 4-month program involving 300 developers, we organized over 100 events open to the public, reaching nearly 10,000 young gaming enthusiasts.

We Fostered Solidarity with the Bill on Hold Education Support Package
Through the Askıda Fatura (Bill on Hold) project, we introduced the Askıda Education Support Package, enabling donors to support students’ education. Since its launch in 2020, nearly 48,000 support packages have been provided, amounting to 18 million TL in aid.
We Provided Employment Opportunities Through District Employment Offices
With 40 Regional District Offices, we connect job seekers with employers, supporting young people not only in their education but also in their career journeys. To date, we have helped 227,000 people find jobs, working with 20,000 employers to match candidates with roles that suit their skills and experience.
