Yesterday marked the 100th day of my unjust detention.

At the invitation of CHP Chair Özgür Özel, thousands gathered in Istanbul alongside senior party figures to stand up for justice, democracy and the will of the people.

Fifteen and a half million citizens have already supported me as their future president. They are seeking leadership that puts people first, values and principles over personal interest.

We have always stood with our nation. We will continue to do so with determination, hope and a firm belief in freedom and justice.

These difficult days will pass. We will reunite and together we will lead this country toward a brighter future.

July 1, 2025 / Silivri

I’ve been unjustly imprisoned for 100 days.
But let it be known: we are not backing down.

Today in Saraçhane, we come together.
Not in despair, but in determination.
Against injustice, we raise our voices.
For democracy, we stand side by side.

The will of the people cannot be silenced.
Our hope, our courage, our unity will prevail.

June 19, 2025 / Silivri

We owe it to our youth!

We will expand student dormitory opportunities for university students across the entire country, just like we did with the dormitories of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

As we did at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, we will ease their financial burden with scholarship support, allowing them to focus on their personal development.

A generation that dares to dream, works hard, creates, and finds joy in life will be the cure for all of Türkiye.

We did it in Istanbul, and we’ll do it across the country.

June 18, 2025 / Silivri

In the face of rising authoritarian populism, democratic solidarity is more vital than ever.

At the International Conference on Democracy and Social Justice in Athens, our common struggle for democracy and justice in Türkiye found powerful echoes from across the world. Representing me and the people of Istanbul, Nazlı Akyüz, Chair of the EU and Foreign Relations Committee of our Municipal Council, addressed the global audience with a clear message: our fight is not only for our city, but for the democratic future we all share.

From Senator Bernie Sanders to Alexis Tsipras, and from scholars to social movements, participants affirmed a shared truth: the erosion of democracy anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.

I was deeply moved by the solidarity shown—especially the words of Alexis Tsipras: “We must oppose human rights violations. We must oppose the imprisonment of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.”

My thanks also to Mayor Haris Doukas of Athens for his sincere friendship and unwavering support. This kind of international democratic alliance gives us hope. And hope is always stronger than fear.

Let’s continue to stand together—across borders, beyond ideologies—until justice prevails.

For years, our nation has been subjected to a great trial of poverty and injustice. Now, it is enduring yet another painful test.

The civilian coup attempt on March 19, carried out by a handful of people who have no respect for democracy and are driven solely by personal ambition and a lust for power, has inflicted great harm on our nation.

From dawn raids to slander, from secret witnesses to opportunists, practices that have severely damaged the Supreme Turkish judiciary have been implemented and continue to be so. The actions of this small group, desperate to escape the situation they have created for themselves, are further destroying our nation and our judiciary.

Just as with the annulled election of May 6, 2019, all the allegations being made today will also prove to be baseless.

In fact, the March 19 coup attempt began with the revocation of diplomas, which caused society—especially the youth—to completely lose faith in institutions. It then continued with slanders that defy reason and imagination.

During this process, poverty deepened further, hopelessness reached its peak, and inflation—especially food inflation—soared. The cost of this mistake has been a staggering $50 billion. They have violated the rights of the people and shamelessly made our nation pay the price, and they continue to do so.

As a nation, we must immediately free ourselves from this environment. We can achieve this with a system that respects rights, ends waste, and is based on merit. With our strong human resources and especially our talented youth, we can usher in a new era.

We are at a crossroads: we will either grow poorer or become wealthier.

This path is one of justice, law, democracy, a democratic parliamentary system, the separation of powers, and the will of the people as the greatest tool.

Once again, I call out to our citizens who support the AK Party and the MHP:

We must walk together toward a beautiful future in peace and harmony. We have no other option but to seek the truth.

LET US IMMEDIATELY FREE OURSELVES FROM THIS WRONG SYSTEM TOGETHER.

April 16, 2025 / Silivri

My Beloved Nation,

My colleagues and I, who set out on this journey with the aim of serving our country and our people, were detained during dawn raids on our homes during the holy month of Ramadan and subsequently arrested. This has not been accepted by the collective conscience of our nation. Thankfully, with its clear, genuine, strong, and rightful reaction, our noble nation has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to democracy and its will.

The strong reaction of our people to this intervention against democracy is not only a defense of their own will but also a rightful outcry against the increasingly anti-democratic practices in our country, the erosion of our justice system, the economic collapse that darkens the future of our nation and the hopes of our youth.

The peaceful protests carried out by our people in response to our arrests—protests where Turkish flags waved everywhere and love for the homeland was at the core—are in no way the cause of the crisis, chaos, and turmoil Türkiye is experiencing today. The true cause of the crisis, chaos, and turmoil inflicted upon Türkiye is the coup attempt being carried out through the judiciary. The one who has chosen crisis, chaos, and turmoil is President Erdoğan.

This political operation carried out through the judiciary has further shaken the already weak trust of our people in the legal system, leading to the further decay of our cherished values and institutions. The dawn raids against elected politicians, the disregard for the sanctity of family life, and the blatant injustices, such as the revocation of a 35-year-old diploma, have caused deep wounds in the conscience of our nation.

Repairing this crisis inflicted upon our country, ensuring that the will of our people is no longer disrespected, and advancing judicial processes in a truly impartial and fair manner, free from political influence, are essential for the future of our country and the conscience of our nation.

At a time when our justice system is under intense scrutiny and trust in the judiciary has reached its lowest point, I find the observations and calls of MHP Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli regarding the judicial process my colleagues and I are subjected to, to be highly significant.

As we enter the new century of our Republic, it is not a choice but an absolute necessity to do so with the hope of a Türkiye free from terrorism at home and with the determination to combat external threats to our nation’s unity. At a time when our region has turned into a ring of fire, when a paradigm shift unseen in decades is taking place in global politics, and when the rules of the global economic system are being rewritten, there is no issue more important for Türkiye than strengthening its unity, solidarity, and brotherhood.

On this occasion, I would like to emphasize the following: Türkiye faces serious existential issues in areas such as the economy, security, and justice. The path to a Türkiye without existential threats lies in making the state strong and effective, the people prosperous, and the judiciary fair.

In a place where society is even worried about its basic rights and has almost completely lost trust in the system, it is impossible to talk about power, prosperity, or justice.

To achieve a strong, prosperous, and just Türkiye, we have embarked on a difficult and long journey with the principle of “I will not violate anyone’s rights, nor will I let anyone violate mine.” No one should have the slightest doubt that we will fight to the end, even if we pay a price or endure hardship along the way.

Türkiye cannot achieve stability, progress, or prosperity without becoming a truly democratic and just country for everyone. Our greatest desire, hope, and effort are for the Republic of Türkiye and our noble nation to attain the prosperity and justice they deserve.

With my deepest respect and love,
Ekrem İmamoğlu

The agricultural frost disaster that has affected almost all farming regions of our country, from east to west, north to south, has caused significant damage to vast areas of cultivated and planted land, especially in fruit and vegetable production.

The fact that our farmers, who have already borne all production costs, are now deprived of income from their crops poses a major problem for both producers and the continuity of production.

Moreover, in a country like ours, which possesses the fertile lands where agriculture first began, and which is already among the top three in global food inflation due to years of misguided policies, this disaster will lead to a radical decline in production and further increases in prices.

To minimize these damages and ensure the continuity of production, it is imperative to urgently implement effective measures.

In this context, damage assessments and payments for insured products must be carried out without delay. For products and producers not covered by insurance, all resources of the Ministry of Agriculture, other relevant ministries, Ziraat Bank, and Agricultural Credit Cooperatives must be mobilized.

My thoughts and heart are with our brothers and sisters, both in rural and urban areas, who are struggling to hold on to life with limited means.

Get well soon, my Türkiye.

I am addressing the President and his circle!

Is a handful of malicious opportunists deceiving you once again with their betrayals?

Are they making a fool of you again with phrases like “the big reveal” and “the breaking point”?

Plots, lies, deceit, slander, secret witnesses, false accusations—these are all futile efforts.

Enough of being deceived over and over again! It is the impoverished, struggling people of this nation who are paying the price.

Look at the heavy cost the people are bearing:

  • $45 billion in reserves evaporated in just a few days.
  • A 1.5-year economic program and the heavy price paid for it have gone to waste.
  • Retirees, youth, workers, civil servants, and farmers have been left destitute.
  • Trust in justice has been shaken to its core, and the system has decayed.
  • The people, especially the youth, have lost hope for the future.
  • International investors, whom you tried to convince door-to-door, have left without looking back.

I am issuing these warnings because we are now at one of the most critical turning points for the future of this country.

If there are still people around the President who genuinely love him from the heart—not his power or position—they must warn him for the sake of this noble nation and the survival of our ancient state.

Thankfully, the people have awakened and are making their warnings in the squares. The real lesson, however, will be given at the ballot box.

The ballot box will come, and that handful of people who have no regard for rights and justice will get their answer from the people.

April 13, 2025 / Silivri

The search for slanderers,
The coercion of false witnesses,
The fabrication of secret witnesses,
Forcing people I’ve known during my 23-year career to testify under duress,
The arrest of journalists,
Dawn raids, confiscations, trusteeships…

When “the big reveal” wasn’t enough,
They resorted to “the breaking point” lie.

And now, as I learned late at night, nearly 10 of my friends who are imprisoned in the same facility as me are being transferred to other prisons at dawn!

What is this ambition, this vengeance, this deceit, this enemy-like justice?

For God’s sake, have they corrupted the cherished institutions of this country to such an extent?

I am addressing the Supreme Turkish Judiciary.

Can a handful of people corrupt the environment of fair justice in this country to such a degree?

I am calling out to the judges, prosecutors, and institutions of our judiciary, which seems to have lost its voice.

Enough is enough! For the love of God, speak up and say something. It is the people and the state who are truly suffering. Are you still not aware of this?

April 12, 2025 / Silivri

You tried to seize the elections we won with legitimate votes, but you failed.

You tried to seize a 31-year-old diploma, but you failed.

You tried to appoint trustees from Ankara to the municipalities you couldn’t win, but you failed.

You tried to seize the property, assets, and companies of the people in a way no person of faith would ever consider, but you failed.

In your panic, as you fumbled and stumbled, every move you made turned against you.

You never expected it, but thankfully, this great nation has awakened.

No matter what you do, sooner or later, this noble nation will bury you at the bottom of the ballot box.

Those who seize the property and assets of the people, those who insult their families, will be trapped in their own schemes.

"The people will rise, the people.

April 11, 2025 / Silivri

This country has endured many harsh winters. It has faced oppression and tyranny.

It has witnessed the arrogance of those who see themselves as landlords and the people as mere tenants.

But it has never cowered, never feared, never given up, and never taken a step back.

Where there is the people, there is democracy. Where there is the people, there is the fight for rights, law, and justice.

The people will win again, because the people are great.

April 10, 2025 / Silivri

There are a few things that deeply saddened me during my time in prison:

The mistreatment of our young people who were detained and arrested.

Earthquake survivors in Hatay being evicted from their containers because they signed petitions in my support.

The child of a martyr, entrusted to us, being expelled from a KYK dormitory for supporting the protests.

The desecration of the grave of our beautiful child, Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was stabbed to death in Kadıköy.

The long lines forming even for cheap eggs.

April 10, 2025 / Silivri

Today, I celebrate the 180th anniversary of our Police Force and April 10 Police Day, honoring the tireless efforts of our law enforcement officers who work day and night to ensure the safety of our people. I extend my deepest respect and gratitude to every police officer who wears the honorable Turkish uniform.

Our police officers protect the streets, squares, and homes of this country at the cost of their own lives. However, I am aware that behind this honorable duty lies a heavy burden, an exhausting work pace, and neglected rights.

The structural problems that have remained unresolved for years not only harm our police officers but also undermine society’s sense of security.

The increase in police suicides, excessive overtime, mobbing, lack of meritocracy, psychological pressure, and economic hardships can no longer be ignored. The fact that 27 police officers have taken their own lives in the first four months of this year is a wake-up call for all of us.

I know the problems of the Police Force, and I know the solutions. We will solve these problems. Police officers will work under more humane conditions. From overtime pay to relief from managerial pressure, from housing with daycare facilities to psychological support centers, we have concrete solutions ready. We will grant police officers the right to unionize. We will enact the Police Personnel Law to provide them with legal protections. This profession will achieve the standards it deserves with us.

I also know that the recent images of excessive force that have surfaced in the public do not represent the entirety of the Police Force. These images hurt both the public and the honorable majority of the force. I distinguish between the honorable police officers who sweat for the people and perform their duties within the law, and those who engage in unlawful acts. It is us who will maintain the balance between justice, security, and freedom.

I commemorate all police officers who have fallen in the line of duty with mercy and honor, and I celebrate the April 10 Police Day of all our law enforcement officers currently on duty.

April 8, 2025 / Silivri

It is unbearable to witness the unspeakable oppression inflicted on students, our future, and each of them a precious gem. This cruelty will go down in history.

What is being done is not just against 301 students; it is against all the youth of our country—those who are unemployed, those who are eliminated in interviews, those whose rights are violated, and those who are left struggling to survive on meager earnings.

The rulers of this country, those making decisions, are trying to intimidate the youth with fear and instill fear in the nation. To have come to this point, from a time when the future was entrusted to the youth, is a disgrace.

The person responsible for justice continues to repeat, as if on a loop, “The judiciary is independent.” Enough already!

In a country where the judiciary is truly free and independent, would this need to be repeated every day?

By drafting indictments to impose political bans on 18-22-year-olds, you are openly declaring your fear of the youth. Shame on you!

A handful of people, devoid of conscience and justice, driven by fear, are making decisions by the minute, by the hour, by the day, in an effort to please someone.

To those who try to intimidate the youth with statements signed by YÖK, universities, and faculties, to those ministers who line up to post social media messages on command, and to those administrators who irresponsibly contribute to injustice and serve a handful of people:

This nation will award you tin medals at the first ballot box it encounters. I have no doubt about this.

I have two calls to make from here:

  • To the political party that feels the need to issue written statements defending the President in every incident: Justice is slipping away. Without justice, no solution or peace initiative can succeed. Please show this nation that you are also sensitive about justice.
  • To the parties and deputies under the roof of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye: At this point, where the system has rendered the Parliament ineffective, it is now your turn to act against the oppression of the youth. As deputies, use whatever authority you have for the youth, and take collective action.

April 5, 2025 / Silivri

The government, which sees it as its right to intimidate those who express their opinions entirely within the framework of personal rights and freedoms, those who share their thoughts, those who participate in protests, and those who exercise their right to boycott—detaining, arresting, imprisoning, and threatening them at lightning speed—has reached the end of its road. These are the final desperate struggles of a handful of helpless and pitiful people trying to cling to their seats. This mindset sees everything as permissible to avoid losing power.

To our 86 million citizens—our youth, women, workers, unemployed, retirees, and artists—we remind you:

Do not fear!

Do not fear those who are in a state of negligence and delusion!

Let courage, determination, and never giving up be our guiding principles!

THE PEOPLE ARE GREAT!

April 1, 2025 / Silivri

Dear Youth,

You were the first to break through the walls of fear. You were the first to rebel against the mindset that steals your future and hopes, disregards your will, and shows you no respect.

The spirit of the times is calling you. With your intelligence, sincerity, strong sense of justice, your spirit that shatters prejudices, and your solidarity, you will embrace everyone and lead this beautiful country into the light in the near future, which will belong to you.

I stand tall here in Silivri. These conspiracies, lies, and deceit do not affect me in the slightest. Let them not affect you either.

The young people who have been detained and arrested during this process are our youth. You are our pride. Together, we will prevent the harm intended for you, and we will stand by you and your families until the end.

I have said before that this struggle is a long, rocky, dusty, and challenging road. We have overcome the greatest obstacle. Do not mind the bold and aggressive words of a handful of people who cannot face society. They know they will lose. The path of democracy and the Republic is the path of our people, and our people will win. The youth will win. A handful of people will lose.

History will write about you, young people! You will make history and set an example for the world!

REMEMBER!

OUR ROAD IS LONG, OUR EXCITEMENT IS HIGH, AND WE HAVE OUR YOUTH!

WE ARE THE TURKISH YOUTH THIRSTY FOR JUSTICE.

WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP.

THE PEOPLE ARE GREAT.

March 31, 2025 / Silivri

One year ago today, 16 million Istanbulites won once again with a margin of 1 million votes. The "one person" who only respects the people's choice when it suits him has spent the past year relentlessly attacking the will of the people.

  • Five of our district mayors are imprisoned.
  • Trustees have been appointed to two of our district municipalities.
  • Many of my colleagues are in custody.
  • As the Mayor of Istanbul, I am imprisoned.

This "one person" has done all of this through unjust and unlawful operations.

What has been done is clearly a crime. It is a blatant disregard for the will of the people. It is a coup against the national will. The "Istanbul Lawlessness" is, without a doubt, a coup.

Those who bury their heads in the sand, saying "the judiciary is independent," have knowingly become accomplices to this crime.

I am now someone who has set out on a path for the rights, justice, and prosperity of 86 million citizens.

With the people's faith in democracy and justice, with their love and passion, we will uproot this corrupt system from these lands. We will stop the handful of people who have become enemies of the national will with the power of the national will itself.

Türkiye will become a fair, prosperous, and predictable country in the not-so-distant future. On the anniversary of March 31, I bring you the good news of beautiful days ahead.

March 30, 2025 / Silivri

My Dear Citizens,

During the holidays, those who miss each other reunite, hand in hand, arm in arm, celebrating together. Every holiday brings us closer to one another.

Now, just because I am far from you, those who think we cannot celebrate together are very mistaken. Because we will always find a way to be together!

You can send me your holiday messages. These messages will be delivered to me, and I will read each one of them.

This holiday, too, we will succeed in being one.

Happy Ramadan Bayram to all of us.

You can send your holiday messages via email to [email protected] or by mail to Marmara Closed Penal Institution A1-1, Semizkumlar Mah. Çanta Cad. Silivri / Istanbul.

March 25, 2025 / Silivri

I greet you by saying, "The people are great."

May the mercy, abundance, justice, unity, and the spirit of empathy of the holy month of Ramadan be upon you.

With the hope of a better future, where the evils upon us have ended in the name of social justice and the rule of law, I want you to know that I eagerly await the day when we, as a nation, will send away this handful of wicked people who have brought suffering and hardship to our country, our people, our retirees, our youth, our workers, and our business world.

Last night, I listened to the song "Yiğidim Aslanım" from the voices of hundreds of thousands of our people in Istanbul's Saraçhane. Thank you so much.

At 12:30 a.m., I watched the documentary about me prepared by Halk TV. Thank you, Halk TV.

I would like to issue a warning from here. For a while now, I have had the opportunity to watch, for the first time in my life, the pro-government channels, especially TRT, which is funded by all of our taxes. What a disgrace, what lies, what slander—attacks on honor and dignity. How can grown adults be so shamelessly vile?

I swear, I will hold all these liars, sycophants, and those who violate rights during Ramadan accountable for the rest of my life.

We will solve all these problems. There is one person who has created this atmosphere and made us live through this. The one person in Ankara who, behind closed doors, sees every means as permissible, including violating rights during Ramadan, just to protect his seat. We will send him away as a nation, at the ballot box.

We will be united, strong, and resilient. We will succeed.

Tonight, I invite everyone to break their fast at the Saraçhane iftar table with our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel. I will also be with you in spirit, breaking my fast and praying for all of us.

Ekrem İmamoğlu's note from Silivri Prison

In these days when we have ignited the light of a great struggle,
our nation has ensured that this light, with the strength of tens of millions,
rises like a sun over our heavenly homeland,
warming and uniting all 86 million of our people with a bond of love.

Our hope is high, our courage is boundless.

We will succeed!
Ekrem İmamoğlu

Hello everyone, Ramadan Mubarak to you all.

My dearest citizens, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, beloved youth, and my precious children, I embrace each and every one of you with love, respect, and warmth.

Despite all the misery we have endured and been subjected to, the disgraceful decisions in the judiciary that have made us all bow our heads in shame, the state of our economy, and the collapse of our international reputation, a revolution of democracy has taken place. On March 23, with the votes of my CHP comrades and all our citizens, the people elected their presidential candidate. This is an extraordinary achievement.

Hope is immense. It has devastated a handful of wicked people. Their fear has grown. Let them fear, let them tremble. Because together with our nation, we represent the alliance of Türkiye. We represent the noble values of the Republic of Türkiye, democracy, the future, justice, the rule of law, equality, unity, and solidarity. We represent the values of our heavenly homeland, progress, quality education, reason, science, art, sports, and a high standard of living.

Today, we are even the guarantee of the future happiness and peace of the families of that handful of people who are so afraid.

I am working hard. I will work even harder. It truly doesn’t matter where I am. My precious youth, while you are working at your desks, feel me sitting in the chair next to you. I am in the workshops of the workers, in the fields of the farmers, at the knees of the grandmothers. I am in the circle of children playing games. Together, we will succeed.

At 8:30 p.m. tonight, I will continue to watch you in Saraçhane and in all the squares.

Dear Youth,

Stay away from conflicts. My beloved security forces, our police, treat our people well. Let me see all of you with smiling faces tonight.

The people are great.

March 23, 2025 / Silivri

I want to share with you a piece of news from Silivri Prison that has made me incredibly happy.

In the Republican People’s Party’s presidential primary, a record level of participation was achieved.

Fifteen million of our citizens cast their votes. Tens of millions of people in this country, who have suffered from the oppression of the government, the devastated economy, the lack of meritocracy, and lawlessness, rushed to the ballot boxes.

They said to Erdoğan, “Enough is enough.”

I send my greetings to the millions shouting in Saraçhane tonight and in the squares across our country.

The ballot box will arrive, and the people will strike this government with a lesson they will never forget.

"Don't be sad" Children's letters and drawings sent to Ekrem İmamoğlu during his arrest

On the way to prison, they shared with me the drawings, poems, and messages created by children.

My dearest ones, you are my most beautiful companions on this journey. Your Uncle Ekrem will return and continue to do wonderful things for you.

March 23, 2025 / Courthouse

My Dear Citizens,

Today, Türkiye woke up to a great betrayal.

The judicial process being carried out is not a legal procedure. It is a complete extrajudicial execution.

I call on our nation to take responsibility and join the fight for justice. This fight for justice is a matter of the future of our nation and our children.

For the future of Türkiye, make sure to cast your vote today. Then, gather in Istanbul’s Saraçhane and in the democracy squares of other cities to raise your voice.

Today is the day to take responsibility and join the fight for justice against those who steal the will of the people.

Together, without leaving anyone behind.

March 23, 2025 / Courthouse

Fear will not delay the inevitable!

You will lose this way or that way.

You will lose to our righteousness, our courage, our humility, and our smiles!

My Beloved Nation,
Do not be sad, do not grieve, and do not lose hope.

We will remove this coup against our democracy, this dark stain, together.

The days are near when those managing this process will be held accountable, both in this world and before the Almighty Creator in the hereafter.

I call on all 86 million of my fellow citizens to rush to the ballot box and make the fight for democracy and justice heard around the world.

I stand tall and will never bow.

Everything will be beautiful…

March 22, 2025 / General Directorate of Security, Vatan

I am deeply saddened because, once again, it is our people who are suffering.

This coup against the will of the people, carried out through us, is putting our already devastated economy and Türkiye’s future in even greater danger. For the past three days, our country’s economy has been deteriorating further due to this political coup.

Those who are trying to fix the economy they themselves have ruined by making the people suffer are once again placing an unbearable burden on our nation’s shoulders.

God is my witness; we worked to ease the suffering they inflicted on our people. We worked so that our nation could breathe, even just a little. We worked tirelessly so that our people would not feel alone and helpless in this economic crisis.

Our nation saw this, and that is why they never withheld their support from us. Because of this sincere support, they want to imprison us and condemn our people to poverty.

To my nation:

With your support, we will first defeat this coup, and then we will send away those who made us endure this.

We will end the economic crisis and suffering they have inflicted on this hardworking and selfless nation!

March 22, 2025 / General Directorate of Security, Vatan

My Dearest Citizens, My Fellow Countrymen,

I am deeply grateful to you. Our nation wholeheartedly protects everything that belongs to it. We must continue to protect it. You are standing up for our Republic, our democracy, the future of a just Türkiye, and the will of our people. I am honored and proud.

The sense of responsibility shown by our nation continues to inspire the world. These are days of taking responsibility. In the days to come, we will reach a future where our nation reclaims all its rights, where democracy reaches its highest level, where the rule of law is fully experienced, and where the 21st-century Türkiye will treat all 86 million of its people equally.

In these days filled with responsibility, I know you will be in Saraçhane tonight as well. You will sing songs and folk tunes heralding the arrival of spring.

Tomorrow, March 23, all members of the Republican People’s Party will vote for me as their presidential candidate.

I invite all my party comrades to the ballot box without exception. Additionally, ballot boxes will be set up across Türkiye for all citizens to participate in this great celebration. I invite everyone to be part of this enthusiasm.

Finally:

Children and youth, even though you do not have the right to vote, I am waiting for your creative thoughts, words, and slogans to reach me in the same place.

The people are great. Sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the people.

This difficult and challenging process is entrusted to our nation.

March 21, 2025 / General Directorate of Security, Vatan

I have been investigated for opening daycare centers. I would have loved to give a statement, but I am currently in custody. Otherwise, I would have gladly defended the daycare centers we established for the children of this city with all my strength.

We will continue to commit the “crime” of opening daycare centers. I entrust the daycare centers for our children, who are our future, to our nation.

March 20, 2025 / General Directorate of Security, Vatan

The March 19 Coup was carried out against the will of the people to determine their own destiny, symbolized by Saraçhane.

Saraçhane is the home of the people. The spirit of Saraçhane is the spirit of the people. Saraçhane is Istanbul’s square of democracy.

Stand up for democracy and your will.

March 20, 2025 / General Directorate of Security, Vatan

You, who started this journey with a single ring, now covet the wealth, work, and labor I have accumulated over three generations, despite the countless stains on your record that you cannot account for, both domestically and internationally. You insult our honor and dignity and rob my children of their future—all with a handful of unqualified people.

Everyone involved in this is complicit.

I warned my nation before. The mindset that seized my diploma will seize your property, your honor, and your possessions and commit every kind of theft and violation.

To my nation: Stand against this evil as a united front. The people are great.

To the judiciary: I call on the thousands of honorable, ethical judges and prosecutors of the Supreme Turkish Judiciary who are devoted to serving their nation. You must rise and take action against the handful of colleagues who are destroying the Turkish judiciary, disgracing us worldwide, and ruining our reputation. I trust the Supreme Turkish Judiciary. You cannot and must not remain silent.

Finally, to all politicians serving in the AK Party and the ruling coalition: These events have surpassed our parties and political ideals. This process now concerns your families and our nation. The time has come to raise your voices.

In these lands, the saying “let the snake that doesn’t bite me live a thousand years” has no place and must not exist. I hope everyone will raise their voices, saying, “Even a snake that doesn’t bite me cannot survive in these lands.”

The people are great. Sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the people.

"The people will give the necessary response to the lies, conspiracies, traps, deceit, those who violate rights, and those who steal the will of the people.

I entrust myself first to Almighty, and then to my nation."

March 19, 2025 / Before Being Taken into Custody

Hundreds of police officers came to the door. I entrust myself to the people.

This immorality…

The police come with a raid on the house, knocking on the door. I entrust myself to the resistance of 16 million, no, 86 million, and to all the people around the world who stand against this oppression.
I trust my nation.

This immorality, this oppressive attitude and behavior will undoubtedly be overturned by the will and resistance of our people.

I send my deepest feelings to the children, women, and all the people of this country.

I stand tall. Let no one worry. I embrace you all, and I love my nation deeply.

Let it not be forgotten that sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the people.

I want the entire nation to know that I will not give up, I will stand firm, and I will continue the struggle.

To those who sent hundreds of police officers to Ekrem İmamoğlu’s door; to those at the head of this process and the prosecutor of all these files, the President and his representative here…

To the handful of people and to those who used my humble, ethical police officers as tools in this process… This nation will hold all of them accountable before justice.

March 19, 2025 / Sarıyer Presidential Residence

I say this with great sadness:

A handful of minds trying to usurp the will of our nation have used my beloved police officers, the security forces of this country, as tools of evil, piling hundreds of police officers at the door of my home, the home of Istanbul's 16 million citizens.

We are facing great tyranny, but I want you to know that I will not give up.
I love you all deeply.

I entrust myself to my nation. Let my entire nation know that I will stand tall.

I will continue to fight against that person and the mindset that uses this process as a tool.
